Biography
Jerry Silverman, BS Pharm, is a former industry marketing executive and President and CEO of BIMARK Medical Communications (1992–2008) where he utilized his extensive experience in pharmaceutical marketing and sales and training to build a successful agency.
Mr. Silverman is most proud of his contributions to the professional growth and advancement of industry pharmacists. From 1998-2008, BIMARK participated as the first pharmaceutical agency to have a fellowship within the Rutgers Post-Doctoral Program. During that period Jerry interviewed over 500 candidates during Midyear conferences.
Jerry has more than twenty-five years of experience serving as an industry employer preceptor, mentor, and coach to students, fellows, and experienced traditional pharmacists pursuing industry practice.
In 2008, Jerry was honored by the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education (ACME) for his commitment to the professional development of industry pharmacists.
His professional career includes positions in sales, training, and marketing at Eli Lilly, Searle, and BIMARK Medical Communications. Jerry created the IPhO Coaching Service a decade ago and has personally coached well-over 500 clients since then. He currently holds the position Senior Consultant, Coach, and Industry Instructor.

Juliette Muszka, PharmD, RPh
Industry Pharmacy Executive Stakeholder, Rutgers Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship (RPIF)
Dr. Muszka is a passionate industry pharmacy leader with over 20 years of experience optimizing value across Global Research & Development, Commercial and Medical Affairs functions. Earlier in her career, she worked in clinical and academic pharmacy practice settings with a focus on acute patient care and formulary management.
Dr. Muszka is proud to serve as the Stakeholder for the Rutgers University Pharmaceutical Fellowship Program (RPIF), where she oversees a community of fellows and preceptors. In addition, she is the Site Director for University Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experientials. Throughout her career she mentored hundreds of professionals navigate their career journey and enjoys fostering the success of our leaders in healthcare.
Dr. Muszka received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and is a registered pharmacist in NJ. She completed her post-doctoral training via the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited residency program through the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY.
Juliette served on the Women Inspiring Sanofi Excellence (WISE) leadership team and has represented Sanofi at the Wonder Women in STEM event, as a panelist for Junior Achievement, and at the Eye for Pharma Conference. She is the honored recipient of the inaugural Sanofi Tony Whalen Mentorship Award in 2020.
Brittany Griggs
Expertise: Direct-to-industry career search and application process, interview preparation and CV review, functional area identification, mentorship, internship applications, making a transition into market access, consulting, and agency sectors of the pharmaceutical industry, making a transition into hospital/clinical roles part time.
Biography
Brittany Griggs, PharmD, RPh, is a Senior Consulting Analyst at The Dedham Group. In this role, she develops market access strategy through primary and secondary research to clients in the pharmaceutical industry. Previously, Brittany was a Scientific Associate in market access and payer marketing, developing payer-focused marketing tactics to assist in formulary uptake and coverage. In addition to working in the industry, Brittany works as a pharmacist at Ascension to maintain her clinical knowledge and skills.
She graduated from Purdue University College of Pharmacy in 2021 where she was able to explore:

Biography
Nicole Fuchs Thompson, PharmD, MBA is currently a Global Medical Affairs Manager in Oncology at Gilead Sciences. Previous to this role, she was a Hematology/Oncology Medical Strategy Post-Doctoral Fellow at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), where she worked on key medical strategy tactics and initiatives for recently launched products across the hematology portfolio. Recently, she also obtained her Masters of Business Administration from the Rutgers School of Business, and she looks forward to utilizing her business and clinical acumen in the pharmaceutical setting.
As a graduate from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy, she had a passion for mentoring PharmDs, and has been actively involved with IPhO, locally and nationally. Her past industry experiences through IPhO, internships, APPE rotations, fellowship, and her current role in the industry, have laid the foundation for her career within the pharmaceutical industry. She is a strong supporter and advocate for students, and is passionate about helping them create their own individual industry career path.
Daria Polyarskaya
Expertise: Guiding students/fellows through fellowship/job application process, interview preparation, CV review, mentorship, as well as identifying specific area of interest within regulatory affairs (RA) sector of the pharmaceutical industry.
Biography
Daria Polyarskaya, RPh, PharmD, MHA is currently a Manager of Regulatory Affairs at Kyowa Kirin, Inc.-U.S. In her role, Daria provides strategic and tactical regulatory support for assigned investigational and post-marketing projects while remaining current on regulatory landscape changes. Dr. Polyarskaya also assists with project mentoring for APPE students.
Daria received her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master’s in Health Administration from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. After graduation, she completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Global Regulatory Affairs at Kyowa Kirin, Inc.-U.S. in partnership with Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at Saint Joseph’s University before transitioning to a full-time employee. She gained experience working with various RA sub-functions, such as Regulatory Intelligence and Policy and Regulatory Advertising and Promotion, which complemented her major RA strategy activities. For two consecutive years, Daria also served as the Mentor/Match committee member of the IPhO National Fellows Council to assist fellows in creating relationships with industry pharmacists. Dr. Polyarskaya also participated in the evaluation of VIP Case Competition to contribute to students’ industry knowledge and professional development.
Daria’s diverse range of experiences allowed her to successfully secure a role in the pharmaceutical industry. She has a strong passion for student/fellow mentorship and is excited to help them navigate through their industry journey.

Biography
Alec Thompson, PharmD, MS is a current Senior Product Manager in Oncology at Gilead Sciences. Previous to this role, he was a digital and consumer marketing manager for Acadia Pharmaceuticals. He was also a Oncology Commercial Strategy & Brand Management Fellow at Novartis Pharmaceuticals before joining the Acadia team. He also obtained his Masters of Science in Digital Marketing from the Rutgers School of Business which has helped advance his technical skills on the digital marketing side.
As a graduate from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy, he had a passion for mentoring PharmDs, and has been actively involved with IPhO nationally. His past industry experiences through IPhO, internships, APPE rotations, fellowship, and roles in the industry have laid the foundation for his career within the pharmaceutical industry. He is passionate about mentoring students, and is always looking for ways to help them figure out their own individual industry career path.
